How MAKA Fits Removable Canopies
Removable canopy fitment on a BYD Shark 6 has to get the lift-off points and any internal wiring right the first time, since the canopy comes off and goes back on repeatedly over the life of the vehicle.

Where are your removable canopies fitted?
All removable canopy fittings happen at our Baringa, Queensland workshop. If you’re outside the area, ask us about freight-in fitment or remote consultation.
Can a removable canopy be added to a full build package?
Yes. A removable canopy is part of several MAKA packages, including Tuff Tradie and The Everything. It can also be fitted on its own or added to any other package as an extra.
Do you handle fleet and dealer work?
Yes. We work with private owners, dealers and fleet operators, and can configure the same setup consistently across multiple vehicles.
What’s the difference between a removable and a chassis-mount canopy?
A removable canopy sits on the tray and lifts off when you want to run the tray on its own. A chassis-mount canopy bolts directly to the chassis as a permanent fitment. We’ll help you work out which one suits how you actually use the vehicle.
Do you fit removable canopies to the BYD Shark 6?
