MAKA Offroad isn’t a general accessories shop that happens to fit BYD as well. We’re a fitout centre built exclusively around the BYD Shark 6 and Denza platforms. Every product we stock, every fitment we complete and every build we hand back is specific to these vehicles.
That focus is the whole point. On a platform this new, with electrical systems this complex, being a specialist isn’t a marketing line. It’s the reason our customers don’t have problems after the build is done.
Why We Built MAKA Specifically for PHEV & EV 4x4s
When vehicles like the BYD Shark 6 and the new generation of PHEV and EV 4x4s arrived in Australia, they brought a total shift in off-road platform design. The high-voltage electrical architectures are complex. Advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) react to almost anything you bolt on. The 12V and auxiliary systems behave completely differently from conventional diesel utes the accessory industry grew up on.
Most accessory shops responded by treating these high-tech rigs like any old diesel 4×4, and the results were predictable. Safety systems misbehaving, ill-fitting accessories, electrical faults traced back to improper installs, and warranty arguments that dragged on for months.
So we built MAKA around the PHEV and EV 4×4 platform instead. Our technicians are trained specifically on high-voltage and modern EV architectures, our fitout processes are tailored to these new-age platforms, and our entire parts range is thoroughly validated on our own builds, including the Shark 6, before it ever goes near a customer’s vehicle.

MAKA Offroad is Australian owned and based in Baringa, Queensland. We work with private owners, fleet operators and BYD dealerships across the state, and nationally by remote consultation.
Certified PHEV Technicians
Our workshop team is certified on electric and PHEV systems, and works across the full electrical spectrum of the BYD Shark 6. That runs from 12V accessory circuits through to high voltage drivetrain components.
